Vermont Mediators Association

The Vermont Mediators Association (VMA) is a statewide organization for professionals and students in the fields of mediation and conflict management that promotes conflict transformation through mediation and alternative dispute resolution throughout Vermont. The Association provides its members with referrals, education, information and advocacy.

Although Vermont does not regulate the practice of mediation, the VMA has developed threshold standards for experience and education among its members. VMA members also agree to adhere to professional Standards of Practice.

The VMA maintains an information network for members of the public interested in mediation. In addition to a directory of members who have met the VMA's threshold standards of practice, the VMA also provides accomplished speakers on topics related to medation, facilitation, conflict awareness and conflict management.
